Air source Heat pumps can be used to collect heat from various external sources and then transfer it to the interior of the house. The installation of a heat pump can also be used to create a cool feeling in your home by releasing excess heat outside of the premises. The air source pump is the cheapest way to heat your home. The following steps describe the installation process of the air source heat pump.
- Choose a suitable location for the outside of the pump and place it about 10 inches from the outside wall of the house. Make sure the pump is placed with the connection point facing the wall. Ensure that there is at least 30 cm of space in the back corner of the heat pump unit to access all necessary services and keep the top of the unit 3 feet away from anything that could block the vent. - Place the pump on a 4 inch concrete part that is not connected to your house. Make sure that the concrete section is flat and surrounded by gravel so that you have no problems removing moisture from the pump. 3 inches of space is allowed on the heat pump coil located at the base of the unit as this allows efficient drainage to prevent frost build-up.
- The internal unit of the air source heat pump should be installed in the house.
- The gas vapor hose of the pump should be adequately insulated and ensure that the insulation has all pipe lengths correctly. The pipe end should be closed so that no dirt can get into the pump pipe.
- The external unit of the pump should be connected to the internal unit. It is important that the copper pipe at the connected end is round. Remove the valve cover and make sure that the pump set is clean. Open the valve body with the Allen button and insert the copper tube. Then the valve cover should be replaced. Then use a wrench to close the valve cap.
- The constant and slow pressure should be released from the inner coil of the heat pump if the copper cover is porous. The pipe should be attached to the indoor unit to ensure that the coil stays dry. If the bobbin is not opened, there is a risk of moisture.
Choose where you want to save your device. Make sure the noise level in the local community is within acceptable range, as most products create noise.
